For 19 years the Richmond Maritime and Wooden Boat Festival, Metro-Vancouver’s premier nautical celebration, has been anchored in and around the shoreline heritage buildings of Britannia Shipyards National Historic site in Steveston. This free-entry, family friendly event offers a treasure chest of fun activities and performances for all age groups. The festival's wide variety of activities incorporates historical aspects related to its unique site, and celebrates the First Nations and other cultures who have inhabited and worked in the Steveston region along the Fraser River.
